Douglas Haig's attentive Haroldo Monico managed to snatch the ball when Carolo Cebo made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. Rexino Salva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Monico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Generoso Ovando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in PUNTA ALTA WARRIORS's zone, Generoso Ovando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rexino Salva came out of the goal and Generoso Ovando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 99 minutes into the match, Constantino Phelipe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rexino Salva. PUNTA ALTA WARRIORS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantino Phelipe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Douglas Haig's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
