Roque Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Prospero Bento fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 26 played minutes Arrutó AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Bitxintxo. With 32 minutes on the clock, Fernando Asur commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 31st minute, one of Cienaguita:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cienaguita. If Jose Saturnin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelino Millano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Roque Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Arrutó AFC's zone, Jose Saturnin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roque Martinez came out of the goal and Jose Saturnin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelino Millano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roque Martinez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jose Saturnin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Arrutó AFC's zone, Andres Abel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roque Martinez came out of the goal and Andres Abel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roque Martinez made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Jose Saturnin sent off a good shot on target. Prospero Polentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Isidro Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Jose Saturnin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cienaguita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Saturnin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 63 in the game by Andres Abel from a close distance when the talented Roque Martinez managed to make a qualified save. Arrutó AFC's players were relieved. Andres Abel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Arrutó AFC's Alberto Belo got a free kick in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Angelino Millano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cienaguita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrutó AFC the free kick. The supporters of Arrutó AFC booed when Cienaguita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Millano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Saturnin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 76 minutes of play, Cienaguita's Jose Saturnin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roque Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jose Saturnin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Saturnin struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Roque Martinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cienaguita. Andres Abel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Prospero Polentzi made a precise shot to the right of Isidro Cortez. Cienaguita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Roque Martinez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Abel in the 94th minute. Isidro Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Polentzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, Arrutó AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Cienaguita having more of the ball for most of the match.
