Spectators: 7281 (Terracing: 5463, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Guañacos's Jairo Mendez got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albino Reno made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Niceto Guillen sent off a good shot on target. Laureano Sasoin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Esiquio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Fabricio Oskitz made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Rene Cai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albino Reno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Benino in the 65th minute of the match. If Lázaro Benino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes Guañacos got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Liher. Lázaro Benino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Albino Reno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Benino in the 95th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Jairo Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guañacos's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Mendez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albino Reno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
