Spectators: 6669 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Santo Cayo started the match with the kick off. In the 6th match minute, Naipe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Abeitia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Naipe FC's zone, Santo Cayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Lauro came out of the goal and Santo Cayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sergio Lehen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vinicio Lauro firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sportivo Club! Gualterio Abeitia shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Naipe FC's Vinicio Lauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Beremundo in the 16th minute of play. Sportivo Club's Sergio Lehen got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sergio Lehen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Vinicio Lauro made a huge save. Sportivo Club's Eleuterio Piearres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Tristan in the 21st minute of play. In the 28th minute Manuel Norino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Piearres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Piearres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Norino's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 39 minutes into the game, Anselmo Tristan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eleuterio Piearres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Manuel Norino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eleuterio Piearres was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Club's zone, Anselmo Tristan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Piearres came out of the goal and Anselmo Tristan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Tristan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Piearres having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Tristan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Naipe FC booed when Sportivo Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Beremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes Sportivo Club got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Constancio. In the 61st minute, Sportivo Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manuel Norino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Sportivo Club booed when Naipe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Norino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Cayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Lauro having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Sergio Lehen made a precise shot to the right of Vinicio Lauro. Naipe FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Eleuterio Piearres didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 74th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Tristan in the 85th minute of play forced Sportivo Club's goalkeeper Eleuterio Piearres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Virgilio Sidro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Naipe FC's Vinicio Lauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Cayo in the 91st minute of play. Vinicio Lauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Cayo in the 93rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Tristan in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eleuterio Piearres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle sounded Naipe FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sportivo Club.
