Nunez Lop's late challenge caught a Famaillá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nunez Lop helped the player get up and apologised. El Zonda's Alberto Maurino got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the El Zonda defense, Esteban Oier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Placido Ubendu. The El Zonda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Placido Ubendu should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Famaillá's zone, Zacarias Timo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Enmanuel came out of the goal and Zacarias Timo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apolo Enmanuel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Timo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Zonda's goalkeeper Placido Ubendu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Ortzi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Apolo Enmanuel. Famaillá's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Zacarias Timo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Zonda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Timo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspar Opilano during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Famaillá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Opilano to maneuver through the defense. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Famaillá! The goalkeeper, Apolo Enmanuel, was totally fooled by El Zonda's Julian Chaime, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zacarias Timo to strike the kick off in the second half. If Alberto Maurino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd of the match, Esteban Oier tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Placido Ubendu got in the way and made a wonderful save. After 64 played minutes Famaillá got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Amaya. In the 65th minute, Julian Chaime got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Zacarias Timo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Zonda's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Timo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Enmanuel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inocencio Quinteros hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Zacarias Timo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 80 played minutes El Zonda got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Timo. Apolo Enmanuel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Timo in the 83rd minute of the match. Famaillá's Esteban Oier got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. El Zonda had played much better football throughout.
