Gouin AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Beturian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Placido Ubendu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Zacarias Timo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Elpidio Beturian came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Gouin AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Beturian couldn't finish the play. If Cristobal Ruisko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in El Zonda's zone, Elpidio Beturian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placido Ubendu came out of the goal and Elpidio Beturian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Placido Ubendu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elpidio Beturian went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Dario Cedro's late challenge caught a Gouin AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dario Cedro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, El Zonda's Dario Cedro got a free kick in the 75th minute. Placido Ubendu came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Gouin AFC's Elpidio Beturian. But to his dismay, Elpidio Beturian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Alberto Maurino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Marcelo Mede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Ubendu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Beturian, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. With a little luck, Gouin AFC's Marcelo Mede got control of the ball when Alberto Maurino tried to sneak it across the goal line.
