Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 4) Balrak's Casimiro Oxel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Balrak's Erubiel Gonzales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Balrak from getting a goal against them. After 14 minutes, Camilo Nevada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Famaillá and the Balrak players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Famaillá fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Balrak. Santos Urti stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Apolo Enmanuel. 1-1. Balrak's Erubiel Gonzales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Oier in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Oier in the 20th minute of play forced Balrak's goalkeeper Erubiel Gonzales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Vigil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Balrak booed when Famaillá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Opilano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Casimiro Oxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Vigil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Apolo Enmanuel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Remicio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
62 minutes into the match, Balrak's Casimiro Oxel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Enmanuel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iker Remicio might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erubiel Gonzales. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iker Remicio ran back to his position shaking his head. Erubiel Gonzales came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Famaillá's Esteban Oier. But to his dismay, Esteban Oier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. When Maximiliano Vigil came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Balrak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Vigil couldn't finish the play. When Fernando Pacho fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balrak's protests and gave Fernando Pacho a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Pacho hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Apolo Enmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Oxel in the 81st minute of play. Balrak's Maximiliano Vigil got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Famaillá's Apolo Enmanuel got control of the ball when Maximiliano Vigil tried to sneak it across the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
