The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Ekialde got free with Norberto Clementi in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Jumeal getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Romeo Pierres hit a great ball. Severino Bordat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Cheche's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Cheche made a kick off. Norberto Clementi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Mirande in the 66th minute of play. If Tomas Cheche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Ekialde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Norberto Clementi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jumeal's Norberto Clementi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Mirande in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Jumeal booed when Uturuncos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Sadurni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Cheche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Bordat having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Uturuncos failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
