When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Jonas Mirande took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Tadeo Sedeni to make any attempt to save it. Tadeo Sedeni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Mirande, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Uturuncos's Luis Ekialde got a free kick in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Sorocayense's Igor Martxelin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severino Bordat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Ekialde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Sedeni having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Jonas Mirande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uturuncos's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Mirande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Sedeni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 29 in the game by Luis Ekialde from a close distance when the talented Tadeo Sedeni managed to make a qualified save. Sorocayense's players were relieved. Jonas Mirande blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tadeo Sedeni having to make a save. Igor Martxelin kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Uturuncos got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Sadurni. In the 39th minute, Delmiro Quilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sorocayense's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Jonas Mirande scored to the left of an out of position Tadeo Sedeni, making the score, 2-1. In the 43rd minute, Igor Martxelin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sorocayense's Nemesio Napier got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Igor Martxelin made the kick off in the second half. If Luis Ekialde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tadeo Sedeni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Ekialde, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Jonas Mirande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Sedeni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Ekialde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Sedeni having to interfere. Sorocayense's Tadeo Sedeni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Mirande in the 79th minute of play. Jonas Mirande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tadeo Sedeni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match Nicanor Erramu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadeo Sedeni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tadeo Sedeni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Azubeli in the 88th minute of play. Tadeo Sedeni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Sadurni in the 89th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Igor Martxelin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sorocayense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uturuncos the free kick. A collision led to Sorocayense getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Igor Martxelin hit a great ball. Sorocayense's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 92nd minute of the game, when Nemesio Napier after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Uturuncos's goal. Nemesio Napier was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Igor Martxelin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Efrain Chaime came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Severino Bordat could save by the left post. Sorocayense's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
