Maximiliano Leoiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Sedeni having to interfere. Tadeo Sedeni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Leoiar in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Sorocayense getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Nemesio Napier hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Leoiar in the 27th minute of play forced Sorocayense's goalkeeper Tadeo Sedeni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Napier's late challenge caught a Arenal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Napier helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Sorocayense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Napier to maneuver through the defense. Sorocayense's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Sorocayense's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Leoiar came free, but Tadeo Sedeni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Arenal's Horacio Neron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 66th minute, Nemesio Napier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Delmiro Quilo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Clodoveo Padro, 3-1. When Efrain Chaime came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Sorocayense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Chaime couldn't finish the play. Arenal's Clodoveo Padro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Martxelin in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute Sorocayense were awarded a corner. Nemesio Napier went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Sorocayense's corner Nemesio Napier fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Clodoveo Padro quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sorocayense's zone, Evelio Rius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeo Sedeni came out of the goal and Evelio Rius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nemesio Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes Sorocayense got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Chaime. The Arenal support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
