Norberto Clementi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Vicente Seme sped through Jumeal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Norberto Clementi. Victor Franco hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Jumeal booed when Fortuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Mateo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Jumeal getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Tomas Cheche hit a great ball. In the 32nd match minute, Fortuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Mateo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Fortuna booed when Jumeal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Bermund didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Jumeal's Siro Bermund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artemio Confesor. That made the score 1-2 after 36 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Eztebe got free with Artemio Confesor in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tomas Cheche made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Vicente Seme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norberto Clementi was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Tomas Cheche kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Prudencio Euloxu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Norberto Clementi came out and tried to block the shot, but Prudencio Euloxu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 63rd minute. Severo Laurgain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Clementi having to interfere. Fortuna's Prudencio Euloxu got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Jumeal's goalkeeper Norberto Clementi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prudencio Euloxu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Seme in the 87th minute of play forced Jumeal's goalkeeper Norberto Clementi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Cheche kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Severo Laurgain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norberto Clementi having to make a save. Fortuna's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
