Andres Lizbeths short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Julian Oihenarte to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 16th minute of the match, Vicente Bernal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julian Oihenarte saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Andres Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Improvisados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Bernal came free, but Julian Oihenarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Oihenarte came out of the goal and Vicente Bernal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Vicente Bernal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julian Oihenarte was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 64 minutes into the game, Nestor Austin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Improvisados FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canque the free kick. Andres Lizbeth spun around in front of the goal 97 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Improvisados FC's goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Canque lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
