Muñoz's Ceferino Costante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Lizbeth in the 17th minute of play. Saverio Errapel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Costante having to interfere. Ceferino Costante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Lizbeth in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Benicio Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Bembe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Canque's Vicente Bernal got a free kick in the 39th minute. Benicio Petri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Santos Kaxen came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Muñoz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Kaxen couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Santos Kaxen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muñoz's supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Kaxen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Bembe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andres Lizbeth was the one to do the kick off. If Vicente Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andres Lizbeth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ceferino Costante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Dalmacio Chale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Vicente Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Bernal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Costante having to interfere. With his leg Ceferino Costante managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Canque's Andres Lizbeth fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmacio Chale got free with Ceferino Costante in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Vicente Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muñoz's Ceferino Costante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Muñoz from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Canque booed when Muñoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Ugutz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andres Lizbeth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Costante having to interfere. Vicente Bernal hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The Muñoz players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
