In the 18th minute, FC Cancerbero's Marcelo Cristofor seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marcelo Cristofor the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Cancerbero protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcelo Cristofor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, FC Cancerbero's Marcelo Cristofor got a free kick in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Ekain in the 19th minute of play forced FC Cancerbero's goalkeeper Herminio Cordaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hipolito Abel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Cordaro having to interfere. Gatitos del Sur's Hipolito Abel got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saverio Selmo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Gatitos del Sur's Pedro Ekain broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Amado Nikola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herminio Cordaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. When Hipolito Abel came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Gatitos del Sur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Abel couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amado Nikola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Herminio Cordaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Nikola in the 55th minute of the match. A hard shot by Celso Ignazio from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Haroldo Rosario's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cleto Jerrald's late challenge caught a FC Cancerbero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleto Jerrald helped the player get up and apologised. Cleto Jerrald kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Romulo Jerold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Rosario having to interfere. Cecilio Locaio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Amado Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Cordaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Amado Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Rosario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Jerold in the 73rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romulo Jerold got free with Haroldo Rosario in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romulo Jerold might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haroldo Rosario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romulo Jerold ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, Amado Nikola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herminio Cordaro. FC Cancerbero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Nikola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 93rd minute, Amado Nikola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Cancerbero's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
