An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Abel in the 4th minute of play forced Genérico FC's goalkeeper Natalio Javiero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gatitos del Sur's Hipolito Abel got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gualterio Lucado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Haroldo Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gualterio Lucado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Fidensio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute of the match Marcos Demesio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haroldo Rosario showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Genérico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Demesio to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amado Nikola in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natalio Javiero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baldomero Fidensio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Haroldo Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natalio Javiero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Abel in the 28th minute of play. Natalio Javiero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Nikola, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Hipolito Abel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natalio Javiero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Claudio Maju kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Gualterio Lucado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Rosario having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Claudio Maju hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualterio Lucado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Hipolito Abel notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Genérico FC's Natalio Javiero. Natalio Javiero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Hipolito Abel came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Gatitos del Sur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Abel couldn't finish the play. Baldomero Fidensio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Rosario having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Genérico FC's Gualterio Lucado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haroldo Rosario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gualterio Lucado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Haroldo Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Pedro Ekain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gatitos del Sur's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Genérico FC the free kick. The supporters of Genérico FC booed when Gatitos del Sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Ekain didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Claudio Maju managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gatitos del Sur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Maju was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Natalio Javiero had great luck who in the 77thth minute grab hold of the ball when Amado Nikola from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 91 minutes, Amado Nikola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gatitos del Sur and the Genérico FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Gatitos del Sur got a freekick which was hit by Amado Nikola. When Baldomero Fidensio came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Genérico FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Fidensio couldn't finish the play. Natalio Javiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Nikola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gatitos del Sur eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
