An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Giraldo in the 23rd minute of play forced Olavarría AFC's goalkeeper Ramiro Ciceron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Derby FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Tello to maneuver through the defense. Elpidio Ihazintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ramiro Ciceron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Dalmacio Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Ciceron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Dalmacio Giraldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Derby FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 37thth minute of the game Dalmacio Giraldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olavarría AFC's Ramiro Ciceron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dalmacio Giraldo to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Roldan got free with Ramiro Ciceron in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atilano Atauri hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes, Dalmacio Giraldo made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Olavarría AFC's Ramiro Ciceron tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Olavarría AFC's Fabian Bernabel got a free kick in the 59th minute. Fabian Bernabel's late challenge caught a Derby FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Bernabel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Fabian Bernabel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Frederik kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Fabian Bernabel struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Tobias Cresenciano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olavarría AFC. After a rather tough play, Olavarría AFC's Baldomiro Laurentzi got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Dalmacio Giraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derby FC's Dalmacio Giraldo got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 played minutes, Derby FC's Victorino Tello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramiro Ciceron came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Derby FC reached it. A collision led to Olavarría AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Eusebio Su hit a great ball. If Denis Aguilera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobias Cresenciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Bernabel in the 89th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes Olavarría AFC got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Ermengol. In the 96th minute Denis Aguilera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Ciceron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Derby FC played a much better game than Olavarría AFC and deserved their victory. The Olavarría AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
