Serafin Rico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serafin Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Rocendo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nereo Tallia got free with Dante Rocendo in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Constancio's late challenge caught a Cordona AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Constancio helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Montiel got a freekick which was hit by Diego Constancio. The supporters of Cordona AFC booed when Montiel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Cuarto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fidel Sabin scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelio Arixo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Montiel's Eustacio Oliverio in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. 53 minutes into the game, Montiel's Fidel Sabin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Arixo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Cordona AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eustacio Oliverio 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Ovidio Castulo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Domingos Constancio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Rocendo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Fidel Sabin came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Montiel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Sabin couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Eustacio Oliverio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Cordona AFC's Cornelio Arixo got control of the ball when Fidel Sabin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Fidel Sabin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montiel's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Sabin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Arixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Cordona AFC's goalkeeper Cornelio Arixo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fidel Sabin. Serafin Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Dante Rocendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montiel's Diego Constancio got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Diego Constancio off the ground. In the 98th minute, Diego Constancio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Montiel walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
