Gregorio Chayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Evarado in the 25th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jeronimo Evarado managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Toro's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeronimo Evarado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorio Chayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeronimo Lobo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Gregorio Chayo made a huge save. If Hilario Adrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Lawrence got free with Natalio Iago in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, C.A. Toro's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Adrio came free, but Natalio Iago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Generoso Francesco fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Toro's protests and gave Generoso Francesco a yellow card for diving instead. If Jeronimo Evarado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
