In the 19th minute of the match PADILLA FC got a corner. Club Atlético Banfield's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Modesto Otoniel ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Zeledon Quirze managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Inautzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celestino Xacintu's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Banfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celestino Xacintu helped the player get up and apologised. Celestino Xacintu hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. If Adrian Gurutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
