Real Coholicos fc's Tadeo Estevez got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Basualdo might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filiberto Arixo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Basualdo ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, Joel Basualdo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filiberto Arixo, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Joel Basualdo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Taringa FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
