Gaston Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gaston Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Taringa FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Elpidio Galo hit a great ball. If Jacobo Maiorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pipinas AFC's zone, Celedonio Tonete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Eleazar came out of the goal and Celedonio Tonete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Pipinas AFC's Justo Eleazar got control of the ball when Celedonio Tonete tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mario Chago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Taringa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Ledesma came free, but Filiberto Arixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, Taringa FC's goalkeeper Filiberto Arixo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Ledesma. If Jacobo Maiorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacobo Maiorga struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Justo Eleazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taringa FC. When Mario Chago came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Pipinas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Chago couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Pipinas AFC booed when Taringa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Bidari didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Cristobal Patrido sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filiberto Arixo skillfully saved the ball. Mario Chago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filiberto Arixo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celedonio Tonete in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justo Eleazar saved Pipinas AFC from getting behind. After 80 played minutes Pipinas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Albino Lapurdi. 86 minutes into the match, Taringa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Chago came free, but Filiberto Arixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Chago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Filiberto Arixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Chago in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiberto Arixo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cayetano Lekubegi hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. If Gaston Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Chago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filiberto Arixo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Taringa FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pipinas AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
