Haroldo Gau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Gilberto Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lucio Locaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 played minutes, Recreo's Edgardo Florian shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mario Gonzo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Recreo reached it. Jimeno Bakar hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, Recreo's Prospero Opilano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mario Gonzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 22 minutes into the game, Camilo Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Recreo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moores the free kick. In the 22nd minute, one of Recreo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Recreo. Jimeno Bakar struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Mario Gonzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Recreo. 41 minutes into the match, Prospero Opilano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mario Gonzo. Moores's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prospero Opilano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucio Locaio made a kick off. Haroldo Gau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Moores's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Prospero Opilano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Arnaldo Silviano's late challenge caught a Recreo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Silviano helped the player get up and apologised. Arnaldo Silviano kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Jimeno Bakar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Modesto Gonzalez during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Recreo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Gonzalez to maneuver through the defense. Lucio Locaio struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Recreo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucio Locaio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Prospero Opilano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bartolo Tipi charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bartolo Tipi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Prospero Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Haroldo Gau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Gonzo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edgardo Florian.
