A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Antonio Mergildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Recreo getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Lino Selmo hit a great ball. Gilberto Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Goiz in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Sida Futbol Club's Aquiles Goiz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilberto Mingo. Gilberto Mingo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, Recreo's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Goiz came free, but Gilberto Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jimeno Bakar came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Recreo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Bakar couldn't finish the play. Jimeno Bakar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Bermudez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Recreo's Prospero Opilano got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee gave Recreo a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edgardo Florian, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sida Futbol Club's Maximiliano Bermudez. 1-1. Jimeno Bakar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
