Ulises Gimenez kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Sayvion in the 10th minute of play forced Progresso's goalkeeper Jorge Mino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeo Bittor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Higinio Txordon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Aquiles Luzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Txordon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Escalando Posiciones getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Francisco Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes, Progresso's Angelino Orlin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Higinio Txordon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Progresso reached it. In the 18th minute Aquiles Luzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Txordon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes, Aquiles Luzea made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Club Escalando Posiciones's Higinio Txordon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Club Escalando Posiciones's zone, Elvio Leobardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Txordon came out of the goal and Elvio Leobardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th play minute Tomás Idacio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jorge Mino. 1-1. Jorge Mino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Gipuzkoa went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Progresso's Aquiles Luzea in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Escalando Posiciones's goalie prevented a goal. Aquiles Luzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Mino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Idacio in the 45th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Aquiles Luzea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Progresso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Luzea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Sayvion was the one to do the kick off. Romeo Bittor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 56 minutes, Angelino Orlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Progresso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelino Orlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Higinio Txordon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquiles Luzea in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquiles Luzea got free with Higinio Txordon in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the game, Aquiles Luzea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Higinio Txordon. Aquiles Luzea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 74th minute, Aquiles Luzea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Progresso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Aquiles Luzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Txordon having to interfere. Aquiles Luzea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Higinio Txordon having to make a save. If Aquiles Luzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Abeita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Txordon having to interfere. Aquiles Luzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Higinio Txordon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Progresso left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Escalando Posiciones.
