Godofredo Aguilera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in riverplatense fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Club Muñiz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flavio Merexildo in the 13th minute. Flavio Merexildo made a great header on Club Muñiz's corner, it was just that riverplatense's Godofredo Aguilera managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 17th minute, Carmelo Abancens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godofredo Aguilera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Carmelo Abancens's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Godofredo Aguilera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Carmelo Abancens came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Godofredo Aguilera could save by the left post. The supporters of riverplatense booed when Club Muñiz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Alvarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inocencio Vellito struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Leon Quirze didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for riverplatense. Carmelo Abancens's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Godofredo Aguilera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Horacio Cordareo took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godofredo Aguilera. Godofredo Aguilera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Enzo Hotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmelo Abancens got free with Godofredo Aguilera in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. riverplatense's Godofredo Aguilera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save riverplatense from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the match, riverplatense's goalkeeper Godofredo Aguilera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carmelo Abancens. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmelo Abancens was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, riverplatense's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Abancens came free, but Godofredo Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 53 minutes, Jeronimo Frantzes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the riverplatense and the Club Muñiz players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, riverplatense's Jeronimo Frantzes got a free kick in the 55th minute. Godofredo Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Abancens in the 56th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Carmelo Abancens sped through riverplatense's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Godofredo Aguilera. If Horacio Cordareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Carmelo Abancens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godofredo Aguilera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carmelo Abancens went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 77 minutes into the game, Carmelo Abancens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Godofredo Aguilera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Carmelo Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Carmelo Abancens made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. riverplatense's Godofredo Aguilera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute Carmelo Abancens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Carmelo Abancens came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Club Muñiz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Abancens couldn't finish the play. Club Muñiz's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
