After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Gregorio Luix managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Dique Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Luix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Elixio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in El Dique Futbol Club's zone, Gilberto Pudes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Piorno came out of the goal and Gilberto Pudes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Abeijon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haroldo Piorno having to make a save. Fabian Elixio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Bertran in the 22nd minute of play. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Claudio Urki the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Caseros Junior protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Claudio Urki had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Caseros Junior getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Claudio Urki hit a great ball. Ernesto Cresconio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 35th playminute. 44 minutes into the match, El Dique Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Abeijon came free, but Haroldo Piorno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Cresconio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Fabian Elixio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Anselmo Abeijon charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Abeijon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Caseros Junior got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Abeijon. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
