Octavio Guzman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Martin Raebert. In the 46th minute of the match, Hugo Lixandro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Octavio Guzman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Octavio Guzman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hugo Lixandro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Batichurros booed when Mojigasta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball.
