Spectators: 6654 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nemesio Rivas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Alejo Federigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Rivas in the 8th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Punua's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Rivas came free, but Alejo Federigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejo Federigo came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Alpargatas's Nemesio Rivas. But to his dismay, Nemesio Rivas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Ubaldo Otsando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 minutes, Abel Gabon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Alpargatas and the Punua players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, Punua's Honorio Felipillo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Raul Micael. Ubaldo Otsando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Raul Micael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nemesio Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Federigo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Paulino Gaizkine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Alpargatas's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Gaizkine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejo Federigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amancio Rosario's late challenge caught a Punua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amancio Rosario helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Alpargatas's Amancio Rosario got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute of the match Baltasar Berenguer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alejo Federigo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Raul Micael made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Cayetano Galsino sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Club Atlético Alpargatas were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ubaldo Otsando to strike the kick off in the second half. Alejo Federigo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abel Gabon. Nemesio Rivas might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alejo Federigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nemesio Rivas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Nemesio Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejo Federigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Gaizkine in the 68th minute. If Paulino Gaizkine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Punua booed when Club Atlético Alpargatas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Gabon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Punua's Ubaldo Otsando got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Alpargatas defense, Ubaldo Otsando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Micael. The Club Atlético Alpargatas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Micael should have stopped the shot. Amancio Rosario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejo Federigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Paulino Gaizkine ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alejo Federigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4.
