Abelardo Bazil showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, one of MSG:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave F.C. New City a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nicanor Orti, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MSG's Albino Matteo. 2-0. Angel Ledesma scored 2-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilfredo Jaunzuria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Lisandro Solustiano came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the MSG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Solustiano couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angel Ledesma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to MSG getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Severo Librado hit a great ball. Nicanor Orti missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 53 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Albino Matteo right hand side. In the 58th minute Abelardo Bazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Matteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Ledesma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Wilfredo Jaunzuria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes F.C. New City got a freekick which was hit by Leon Ireno. Zeledon Markel kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. MSG's Angel Ledesma got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Abelardo Bazil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Bazil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Albino Matteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, MSG's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Hanni came free, but Albino Matteo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albino Matteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Hanni in the 85th minute of play. If Lisandro Solustiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
