Flavio Nafarroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Ledesma in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Isidor in the 9th minute of play forced SC Corinthians Santa Fe's goalkeeper Flavio Nafarroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Angel Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Albino Matteo managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Santos Laffitte fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 16 minutes into the match, SC Corinthians Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Ledesma came free, but Flavio Nafarroa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Alejandro Berdoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Corinthians Santa Fe's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Berdoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albino Matteo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santos Laffitte got free with Albino Matteo in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucas Isidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Benet during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 35 minutes in the game, Lisandro Solustiano dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. MSG's Angel Ledesma got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lisandro Solustiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Nafarroa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Flavio Nafarroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Solustiano in the 41st minute of the match. Lisandro Solustiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute, Lisandro Solustiano made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Nafarroa. SC Corinthians Santa Fe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Angel Ledesma made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st match minute, MSG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Bibiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Nemesio Tuste shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albino Matteo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Flavio Nafarroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Librado in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Corinthians Santa Fe's zone, Angel Ledesma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Nafarroa came out of the goal and Angel Ledesma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nemesio Tuste kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Flavio Nafarroa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save SC Corinthians Santa Fe from getting a goal against them. When SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Alejandro Berdoi in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MSG's goalie prevented a goal. If Lisandro Solustiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the MSG players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
