Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fulgencio Suarez in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Nafarroa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fulgencio Suarez scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Nafarroa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute, Fausto Raymon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Nafarroa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulgencio Suarez's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Fulgencio Suarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Flavio Nafarroa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fulgencio Suarez in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Nafarroa saved SC Corinthians Santa Fe from getting behind. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Fulgencio Suarez sped through SC Corinthians Santa Fe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Flavio Nafarroa. After a defensive mix-up in SC Corinthians Santa Fe's zone, Santiago Leoiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Nafarroa came out of the goal and Santiago Leoiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fulgencio Suarez in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Nafarroa saved SC Corinthians Santa Fe from getting behind. The Talleres de Cba fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Talleres de Cba's Fulgencio Suarez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Santiago Leoiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Corinthians Santa Fe's zone, Fulgencio Suarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Nafarroa came out of the goal and Fulgencio Suarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Nafarroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Suarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Talleres de Cba were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Fulgencio Suarez made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Santos Laffitte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Talleres de Cba booed when SC Corinthians Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Laffitte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fulgencio Suarez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Flavio Nafarroa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 68 played minutes Talleres de Cba got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Eron. Santos Laffitte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Honorio Eutropio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Talleres de Cba booed when SC Corinthians Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Berdoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Suarez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Flavio Nafarroa. Fulgencio Suarez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. When Santiago Leoiar came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Talleres de Cba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Leoiar couldn't finish the play. When Honorio Barto fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Corinthians Santa Fe's protests and gave Honorio Barto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Corinthians Santa Fe getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Honorio Barto hit a great ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Fulgencio Suarez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Flavio Nafarroa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the match, SC Corinthians Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Suarez came free, but Flavio Nafarroa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Santiago Leoiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Talleres de Cba's Fulgencio Suarez in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Corinthians Santa Fe's goalie prevented a goal. Adrian Isadore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Nafarroa having to interfere. When the match was over Talleres de Cba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Corinthians Santa Fe throughout the match.
