The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Maidana got free with Wilfredo Jaunzuria in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Maidana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Wilfredo Jaunzuria when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gavino Amaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Bazil in the 76th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeledon Markel during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zeledon Markel kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Francisco Enol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rigoberto Bartuelo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilfredo Jaunzuria came out and tried to block the shot, but Rigoberto Bartuelo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 91st minute. Leoni AFC played a much better game than F.C. New City and deserved their victory. The F.C. New City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
