Evaristo Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Bartuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Bartuelo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Club de Amigos's Evaristo Rencio. Evaristo Rencio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club de Amigos! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celestino Shantala was the one to do the kick off. Club de Amigos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Maidana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Celestino Shantala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club de Amigos's supporters rose to their feet, but Celestino Shantala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Amaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Lonzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Amaya having to interfere.
