Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alejandro Berdoi kicked off to start the match. The Cartel de Medellín fans' excitement grew in the 2nd match minute when Cartel de Medellín's Celedonio Ospetsu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 12 minutes into the match, SC Corinthians Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Ospetsu came free, but Flavio Nafarroa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Alejandro Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Laffitte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Cartel de Medellín's Luciano Gizon got a free kick in the 20th minute. Santos Laffitte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Quinten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Flavio Nafarroa got control of the ball when Felipe Cordario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgard Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Laffitte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th match minute, Cartel de Medellín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Cresitobalo to maneuver through the defense. After 39 minutes, Arnoldo Cristofol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cartel de Medellín and the SC Corinthians Santa Fe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cartel de Medellín's Arnoldo Cristofol got a free kick in the 40th minute. Celedonio Ospetsu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Nafarroa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celedonio Ospetsu to strike the kick off in the second half. When Cartel de Medellín's Felipe Cordario in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Corinthians Santa Fe's goalie prevented a goal. Cartel de Medellín's Celedonio Ospetsu managed to work through SC Corinthians Santa Fe's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Celedonio Ospetsu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Santos Laffitte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celedonio Ospetsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Cordario in the 68th minute of play forced SC Corinthians Santa Fe's goalkeeper Flavio Nafarroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute Felipe Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Nafarroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cartel de Medellín's Eloy Elazar got a free kick in the 71st minute. The supporters of SC Corinthians Santa Fe booed when Cartel de Medellín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Cresitobalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Alejandro Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Alejandro Berdoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgard Quinten. Alejandro Berdoi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Celedonio Ospetsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Flavio Nafarroa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alejandro Berdoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Santos Laffitte got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
