Alejandro Berdoi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Flavio Nafarroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Bartuelo in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Leoni AFC's zone, Alejandro Berdoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Amaya came out of the goal and Alejandro Berdoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Alejandro Berdoi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gavino Amaya. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. 30 minutes into the game, Gerardo Hustaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Corinthians Santa Fe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leoni AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Gerardo Hustaz got a free kick in the 30th minute. Santos Laffitte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Gavino Amaya made a huge save. Flavio Nafarroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Maidana, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Gerardo Hustaz hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Honorio Barto hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Flavio Nafarroa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Corinthians Santa Fe's Flavio Nafarroa got control of the ball when Denis Maidana tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Leoni AFC's zone, Felipe Benet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Amaya came out of the goal and Felipe Benet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leoni AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Corinthians Santa Fe.
