The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Damaso Merexildo put in a rough tackle. In the 3rd minute, one of Cartel de Medellín:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cartel de Medellín. If Jonatan Sesuldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cartel de Medellín getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Arnoldo Cristofol hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Jonatan Sesuldo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cartel de Medellín's Edgard Quinten. Edgard Quinten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgard Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Sesuldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Edgard Quinten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Savion in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Seguí AFC's Gaudencio Erasto got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gaspar Atauri came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Cartel de Medellín's Felipe Cordario. But to his dismay, Felipe Cordario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 36th minute, Seguí AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felipe Cordario fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Felipe Cordario came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Cartel de Medellín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Cordario couldn't finish the play. Gaspar Atauri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Cordario in the 42nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Felipe Cordario got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Cartel de Medellín players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Seguí AFC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felipe Cordario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Seguí AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Erasto to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, Armando Sal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cartel de Medellín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seguí AFC the free kick. Armando Sal hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Jonatan Sesuldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Quinten having to interfere. Felipe Cordario struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gaspar Atauri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cartel de Medellín. Gaspar Atauri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Cordario in the 67th minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, Seguí AFC's Victor Savion made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Quinten was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Wilfredo Cresitobalo fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cartel de Medellín's protests and gave Wilfredo Cresitobalo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cartel de Medellín getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Wilfredo Cresitobalo hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Jonatan Sesuldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seguí AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After 84 played minutes Cartel de Medellín got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Ospetsu. Wilfredo Cresitobalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Cartel de Medellín's Felipe Cordario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaspar Atauri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Gaudencio Erasto fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seguí AFC's protests and gave Gaudencio Erasto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cartel de Medellín booed when Seguí AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Erasto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Felipe Cordario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartel de Medellín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Cordario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
