Americo Cordeiro started the match with the kick off. Eulalio Fernado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Osmundo in the 4th minute of play. After 4 played minutes Chacarita got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Dalmai. In the 7th minute Americo Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Fernado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Sol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anibal Sol got free with Abelardo Claris in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 16 minutes, Blas Elivareo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacarita and the Churqui players grew even worse after the yellow card. Blas Elivareo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Eulalio Fernado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Osmundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Eusebio Rubio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eulalio Fernado. Chacarita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusebio Rubio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Benedicto Eate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abelardo Claris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Sol in the 25th minute of play. When Chacarita's Anibal Sol in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Churqui's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Churqui booed when Chacarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Abalos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Anibal Sol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcelino Salvator charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelino Salvator the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Marcelino Salvator hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Chacarita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Churqui were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anibal Sol to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Anibal Sol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Abelardo Claris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eulalio Fernado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anibal Sol struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Abelardo Claris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chacarita. Jose Sandaili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Abelardo Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermengildo Osmundo got free with Eulalio Fernado in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chacarita's Anibal Sol got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anibal Sol in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Claris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Churqui's zone, Benedicto Eate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Claris came out of the goal and Benedicto Eate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Domingos Semeno fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Churqui's protests and gave Domingos Semeno a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Churqui got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Semeno. With 82 minutes on the clock, Iker Hever commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Eulalio Fernado went to the wrong direction when Roque Mitxel was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Anibal Sol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 88 minutes, Gabriel Dalmai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chacarita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Dalmai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Churqui's Eusebio Rubio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eulalio Fernado. Eulalio Fernado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. 98 minutes into the match, Eusebio Rubio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eulalio Fernado, 1-4. The Churqui players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
