But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Hartz couldn't finish the play. In the 31stth minute of the game Roque Hartz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Churqui's Abelardo Claris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teo Hug got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Teo Hug hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Roque Hartz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Claris was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, Higuera's goalkeeper Luisito Leheren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Osmundo. After having played for 43 minutes, Roque Hartz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Higuera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Hartz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Higuera's Roque Hartz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abelardo Claris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Hartz was the one to do the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roque Hartz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abelardo Claris came out and tried to block the shot, but Roque Hartz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 71st minute. In the 77th minute Hermengildo Osmundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match, Roque Hartz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Abelardo Claris saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Saul Olayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Claris having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Higuera eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
