Feliciano Grabiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Haroldo Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eulalio Fernado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Ponce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eulalio Fernado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Oton, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Eulalio Fernado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Grabiel in the 40th minute of play. Iker Hever hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Ponce couldn't finish the play. Eulalio Fernado was a little too slow when Feliciano Grabiel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 82ndth minute of the game Haroldo Ponce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chacarita's Eulalio Fernado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blas Elivareo charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Chacarita fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Iguassu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
