The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlos Palos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Juvenal, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 16th match minute, Los Pampeanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Costante to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes of play, Los Pampeanos's Saturnino Juvenal made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Palos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Saturnino Juvenal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Palos having to interfere. Saturnino Juvenal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Carlos Palos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Armando Hermelando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 37 in the game by Armando Hermelando from a close distance when the talented Melquiades Oliviero managed to make a qualified save. Los Pampeanos's players were relieved. Kentucky's Carlos Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Juvenal in the 39th minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 40th minute when Pastor Benvido elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 46 minutes Kentucky's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gogo Bembe who took care of the corner kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lorenzo Costante was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Palos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Costante in the 51st minute of the match. Melquiades Oliviero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Hermelando, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Los Pampeanos's Saturnino Juvenal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Palos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 66th minute, Armando Hermelando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th match minute, Kentucky was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Medardo to maneuver through the defense. Gogo Bembe's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Carlos Palos - 1-4 was put on the score board in the 69th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Los Pampeanos's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Benvido came free, but Melquiades Oliviero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Armando Hermelando came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Kentucky fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Hermelando couldn't finish the play. Pastor Benvido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Melquiades Oliviero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Costante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Pampeanos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kentucky the free kick. In the 85th match minute, Los Pampeanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Costante to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Costante in the 87th minute of play forced Kentucky's goalkeeper Carlos Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Los Pampeanos's Carlos Palos threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lorenzo Costante, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Domingos Medardo kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Gogo Bembe was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
