Kentucky's Ciriaco Opilano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 8th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Silvano Caradaro but with some difficulty. Silvano Caradaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Benvido in the 11th minute of play. Silvano Caradaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Benvido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arsenio Senin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Palos having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Francisco Kimetz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kentucky's Carlos Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Senin in the 17th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Kentucky's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Tiso came free, but Carlos Palos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Caradaro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 28th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Israel Iturri. Silvano Caradaro came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Kentucky's Armando Hermelando. But to his dismay, Armando Hermelando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Aiacos's zone, Armando Hermelando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Caradaro came out of the goal and Armando Hermelando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Eugenio Ayala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Kentucky's zone, Erubiel Calixto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Palos came out of the goal and Erubiel Calixto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Aiacos booed when Kentucky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Tximitx didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes, Aiacos's Tomás Senon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Palos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aiacos reached it. Pastor Benvido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pastor Benvido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Caradaro having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Erubiel Calixto ran back to his position shaking his head. Armando Hermelando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Caradaro having to interfere. In the 87th minute Erubiel Calixto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Palos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kentucky fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! Tomás Senon placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out!
