After having played for 17 minutes, Armando Hermelando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kentucky's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Hermelando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Humberto Flor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Palos having to interfere. Carlos Palos came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Martes's Maximo Romildo. But to his dismay, Maximo Romildo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Armando Hermelando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Esteve Cordaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pastor Benvido struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Esteve Cordaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kentucky. Maximo Romildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Palos having to interfere. Pastor Benvido blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteve Cordaro having to make a save. 38 minutes into the match, Deportivo Martes's goalkeeper Esteve Cordaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Hermelando. Esteve Cordaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Benvido in the 43rd minute of play. Carlos Palos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Flor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximo Romildo to make the kick off. The referee gave Deportivo Martes a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gaspar Mazuste, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kentucky's Carlos Palos. 0-2. Pastor Benvido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esteve Cordaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Benvido's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Romildo in the 86th minute of play forced Kentucky's goalkeeper Carlos Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kentucky's Carlos Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Romildo in the 88th minute of play. Esteve Cordaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Benvido in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Hermelando in the 91st minute of play forced Deportivo Martes's goalkeeper Esteve Cordaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Pastor Benvido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Cordaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Pastor Benvido who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Martes's Esteve Cordaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximo Romildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Humberto Flor made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Palos. Kentucky's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Deportivo Martes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
