Teofilo Cesario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Illan in the 4th minute of play. If Cristo Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 12 minutes, Iker Illan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peñico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Illan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peñico's Cristo Amor got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peñico's Tadeo Veto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Piearres in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Peñico getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rolando Udalaitz hit a great ball. If Generoso Virila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 minutes of play, SuperCampeones's Generoso Virila made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tadeo Veto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anier Ledesma charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anier Ledesma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anier Ledesma hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Cristo Amor struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Teofilo Cesario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peñico. Tadeo Veto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Piearres, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 0-2 became the score in the 33rd minute when Ciro Piearres elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Peñico's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Piearres came free, but Tadeo Veto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Generoso Virila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeo Veto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Generoso Virila was the one to do the kick off. Peñico's Tadeo Veto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Peñico from getting a goal against them. Teofilo Cesario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Illan in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Peñico's zone, Generoso Virila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeo Veto came out of the goal and Generoso Virila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciro Piearres's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Tadeo Veto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ciro Piearres managed to get in a good position for a shot. SuperCampeones's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Piearres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Veto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute Generoso Virila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Veto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Peñico getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Rolando Udalaitz hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, SuperCampeones's Godfredo Abar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Casimiro Fernanco charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Teofilo Cesario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Illan in the 81st minute of the match. Teofilo Cesario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Illan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Illan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Cristo Amor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peñico's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Amor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Cesario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro Piearres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Veto having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Ciro Piearres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Tadeo Veto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Generoso Virila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
