After a rather tough play, Lobos AFC's Cleto Sustrai got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Cleto Sustrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Niva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Cloyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Cleto Sustrai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atilano Cloyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Fidel Niva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Lobos AFC's Lisandro Cordaryal got control of the ball when Narciso Furman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Severiano Ricart kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Narciso Furman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Narciso Furman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lisandro Cordaryal. Lobos AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narciso Furman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 42 played minutes, Lobos AFC's Godofredo Gaur shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fidel Niva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lobos AFC reached it. Narciso Furman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Cordaryal having to interfere.

Narciso Furman took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lisandro Cordaryal. Lisandro Cordaryal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Atilano Cloyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Fidel Niva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Lobos AFC booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Beltran didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Atilano Cloyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Niva came out of the goal and Atilano Cloyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 78 minutes on the clock, Alejandro Lalla commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Independiente! Independiente:s Fidel Niva showed great skill when he stopped Godofredo Gaur:s penalty. After some careless play in the Independiente defense, Godofredo Gaur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fidel Niva. The Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fidel Niva should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute Atilano Cloyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Niva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleto Sustrai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Niva having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Atilano Cloyo rounded Independiente's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Narciso Furman got a free kick in the 98th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
