After 26 minutes, Jacobo Timo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albinegro FC and the Academia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leandro Lico kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Enzo Vito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo Vito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horacio Sidoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Tirso having to interfere. Orlando Tirso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Vito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Enzo Vito made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Albinegro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Vito came free, but Orlando Tirso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Tirso came out of the goal and Enzo Vito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th match minute, Albinegro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Lico to maneuver through the defense. With 73 minutes on the clock, Fidel Ayala commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 72nd minute, one of Albinegro FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Albinegro FC. After 74 minutes of play, Academia FC's Aaron Nardo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orlando Tirso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Academia FC's Enzo Vito got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Enzo Vito came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Academia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Vito couldn't finish the play. Orlando Tirso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Sidoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Avellaneda's late challenge caught a Academia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidro Avellaneda helped the player get up and apologised. Fernan Felipillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Academia FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Albinegro FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
