The referee ignored Academia FC's protests and gave Fernan Felipillo a yellow card for diving instead. Fernan Felipillo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ignacio Orlo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Mancio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Academia FC's zone, Santos Frantzes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Orlo came out of the goal and Santos Frantzes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santiago Mancio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enzo Vito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Humberto Ganix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Enzo Vito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Vito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Ganix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santos Frantzes was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Manucho's Ignacio Orlo threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Santos Frantzes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Humberto Ganix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Vito in the 66th minute of the match. Santos Frantzes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignacio Orlo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Fernan Felipillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Modesto Sustrai was slow to take the kick. During this time Manucho's players had a chance to rest. Manucho's Modesto Sustrai was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ignacio Orlo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Academia FC's Isidoro Vellito got a free kick in the 81st minute. Santos Frantzes had several of the Academia FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Ignacio Orlo as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Santiago Mancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute.
