Starship Troopers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Giraldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fermin Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Silvestre Oso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Club Matadores De Pilar's Anselmo Cuarto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvestre Oso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Starship Troopers's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Xacintu came free, but Silvestre Oso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustino Rafe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Duarte having to interfere. Arnoldo Gartxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Arnoldo Gartxot fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Arnoldo Gartxot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 59th minute, Romeo Giraldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Club Matadores De Pilar getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Americo Rameriz hit a great ball. Angel Claude, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Amancio Joseph sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Starship Troopers booed when Club Matadores De Pilar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Manilan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Matadores De Pilar's Anselmo Cuarto got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Starship Troopers getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Arnoldo Gartxot hit a great ball. When Arnoldo Gartxot came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Starship Troopers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Gartxot couldn't finish the play. Starship Troopers were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
