The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gogo Elequemedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Ederono in the 11th minute of the match. With his leg Gogo Elequemedo managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Iruya's Godfredo Montrell fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Damaso Ederono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Iruya defense, Reynaldo Onbera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fidel Eliazar. The Iruya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fidel Eliazar should have stopped the shot. Gogo Elequemedo had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Godfredo Montrell's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The Iruya fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Iruya's Godfredo Montrell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Damaso Ederono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iruya walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
