Spectators: 7250 (Terracing: 5439, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Godfredo Montrell started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Starship Troopers's zone, Godfredo Montrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Oso came out of the goal and Godfredo Montrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iruya's Godfredo Montrell got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnoldo Gartxot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fidel Eliazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Iruya booed when Starship Troopers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Claude didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godfredo Montrell in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvestre Oso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Godfredo Montrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvestre Oso was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Damaso Ederono struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Silvestre Oso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iruya. Iruya's David Astigar got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damaso Ederono scored 0-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvestre Oso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Starship Troopers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Iruya were winning 0-1.

David Astigar charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Astigar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th minute, Ovidio Eneko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Giraldo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Godfredo Montrells short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Silvestre Oso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Damaso Ederono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Silvestre Oso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lisandro Aureo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvestre Oso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Godfredo Montrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Starship Troopers's Silvestre Oso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidio Eneko during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Ovidio Eneko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fidel Eliazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Claude in the 78th minute of play. Silvestre Oso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Ederono in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Starship Troopers's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Montrell came free, but Silvestre Oso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnoldo Gartxot might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fidel Eliazar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnoldo Gartxot ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godfredo Montrell got free with Silvestre Oso in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amancio Joseph hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Starship Troopers's Angel Claude got a free kick in the 96th minute. Silvestre Oso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Godfredo Montrell. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Iruya had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
