Chivilcoy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Starship Troopers the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Chivilcoy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Romano to maneuver through the defense. In the 25thth minute of the game Ramiro Romano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Starship Troopers's Silvestre Oso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Arnoldo Gartxot fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Starship Troopers's protests and gave Arnoldo Gartxot a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute Anibal Mero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Oso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Starship Troopers's zone, Ramiro Romano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Oso came out of the goal and Ramiro Romano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Mero in the 76th minute of play forced Starship Troopers's goalkeeper Silvestre Oso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes, Romeo Giraldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Starship Troopers and the Chivilcoy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Starship Troopers got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Giraldo. After 86 played minutes Starship Troopers got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Joseph.
